About Claire

I'm an experienced integrative counsellor which means that I am trained in a variety of approaches to counselling and psychotherapy. The biggest benefit to this is that my approach is tailored to you.

I have worked with clients from a diverse variety of backgrounds with issues such as low self-esteem, depression, lack of direction, anxiety, stress, anger, bereavement, identity, adjusting to changes in life-stage (e.g. becoming a new parent) and relationship issues.

I have special interest in working with self-esteem and also have experience and training in working with young people. I also have a lot of experience in working with neurodivergence. 

I’m accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My qualifications include a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and an M.Sc and B.Sc in psychology and sociology.

I have also attended specific training on; Counselling young people, issues in the Trans community, gestalt therapy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, stress and anxiety in those with autism, compassion focused therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), managing suicidal feelings, gestalt chair work, working creatively, self harm, and anger management.

I have worked in a variety of different settings alongside my private practice including schools and colleges, charities (Mind and YMCA) and GP practices.

I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their ethical framework.

I also work with Employee Assistance Programmes.
